Hey, I'm Payton.

I'm a web developer based in Gilmer, Texas who believes every local business deserves a website as unique as the people behind it. I don't use templates or page builders — I write every line of code by hand.

When I'm not coding, you'll find me exploring East Texas, working on side projects, or helping small businesses figure out their online presence. I got into web development because I saw too many local businesses stuck with cookie-cutter websites that didn't represent them.

Common Questions

Most websites are done in 1-2 weeks from start to finish — design, revisions, development, and launch. The clock starts once I have your content, so the fastest projects are the ones where photos, hours, and text are ready to go. Larger or more complex builds may take longer, and I'll give you a clear timeline up front either way.
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name from day one, and your content and photos are always yours. If you pay up front, the site is yours outright at launch. On the monthly plan, ownership of the code transfers to you once the 12-month term is complete — until then I host and maintain it as part of the plan. Either way you get all login credentials, and I will never hold your domain or your email hostage.
Just text me. Small changes are included in your monthly plan at no extra charge and I don't count them — updated hours, new prices, fresh photos, a new person on the team, a seasonal promo. I answer support requests on weekdays and usually turn them around the same day. Bigger additions, like an entire new page or an online booking system, get quoted separately so there are no surprises.
Because most business owners would rather not part with a thousand dollars all at once, and there's no reason they should have to. $250 gets your site built and live, and the monthly covers the rest along with hosting, edits, and support — the same way you already pay for your phone or your internet. If you'd rather settle it in one go, paying up front is an option and works out a little cheaper overall.
The monthly plan runs on a 12-month minimum, and after that it's month-to-month — cancel any time with 30 days' notice. If you need out before the twelve months are up, the remaining balance on the build comes due, or the site comes down and we call it even. Your domain stays yours regardless. I'd rather tell you that plainly now than bury it in fine print later.
Yes, and I'd recommend it. Handing someone a card that says you@yourbusiness.com instead of a Yahoo or Gmail address is one of the cheapest ways to look established. It's $150 to set up plus $20 per mailbox each month, and I'll get it running on your phone so you never have to touch a setting.
To kick things off, I'll need: your business info (logo, colors, branding if you have it), content (text, images, or I can help source these), and a clear idea of what you want your website to accomplish. We'll discuss everything in our initial call.
Page builders are fine for hobby sites, but they're bloated, slow, and limited. Custom code means your site loads faster, ranks better on Google, looks exactly how you want, and doesn't look like a thousand other businesses using the same template.
